Default GEEK help -- can anybody help me read an SQL file?
I pulled the SQL file that supposedly has all of my text message information from my Iphone. How in the heck do I get a reader to read the data?

FWIW, SQL files are easily readable in any text editor. Yes, you will have code in there, but the actual text block of the messages should be easy to read.

Is it already on your machine? Copy/Paste the file to another location and you should always have it.

Edit: I get it, you're worried about what might be in the file.

Yeah I needed to present all text messages I've sent to and from somebody to my lawyer tomorrow. I was under the impression with an SQL reader I could zero in on that data.

Guess I might be doing a ton of screen shots

A query could easily be generated to filter the content.

Fwiw I have used screen shots and copied those pics to a word doc an printed in a similar occasion with a lawyer. The nice thing about that is it has the name, date an conversation in order.

I wound up using screen shots...all 110. then using Windows picture printer to print them 9 to a page, it worked surprisingly well!

I just know with the proper SQL tools you can do something much more fancy from the data file.

For the record, there's an UNSECURED file in your Iphone Backup's that holds ALL of your Text Messaging information, It was actually a bit alarming.

Well, you can delete the history off your phone...as for the unsecured file in your back up.
