There's two major differences:

iPad 1 is older

iPad 2 is newer

You might wanna try the Apple web site. I'm not sure, but I think you MIGHT find some information there.

I have teh first generation. Never felt the need for the upgrade for my usage.

I still like my 1st gen. I haven't really found anything I'm missing

A higher resolution screen would probably get me to move to the iPad 3, if that happens

Same here for the most part. I would like the camera for facetime, but I can use my Iphone right now. Faster speed is always welcome.

I've got a 1 and wife has a 2. The 2 is really nice but not pay the difference between my 1 and 2 nice. Hope this helps.

So far today, I took a 1 and 2 2's. Somewhat unusual to take 2 2's in 1 day, but I had a #2 at McDonalds late last night.

Here was my thought on the Wifi vs 3G deal.

First of all, I am paying PLENTY to ATT for my iPhone service. Another $25/month just didn't sit well with me.

Also, where are you planning on using the thing? If you are going to run all over town with it, maybe you would like the 3G coverage. Mine has yet to leave the house.

I didn't think the 3G was worth it for my use.

Sorry for the post. I have the iPad 1. I should have kept my trap shut.
