Default Facebook can be so sad

July 30
I'm being admitted please pray!

The last post of a local 33 yr. old woman. I didn't know her, but noticed activity from my other friends on FB. I looked back on her page for the last year. She was pretty, optimistic about life, happy, always a big smile on her face in photos. The majority of her post about her teenage son, family, eating, work, etc..the things she enjoyed, looked forward to doing, places to visit, etc...She had another baby last summer. She talked about the nursery, pregnancy, and things relating to it.

She died yesterday, just a few short days after that post. My friend said from bleeding in the brain. It was so sudden and shocking to all. We can look back in time and know the outcome that is coming. It makes you want a time machine to go back and warn her. You want to press the rewind button, but can't.

RIP Teah

I have at least 3 dead people on my friends list.

It is quite creepy when you think about it. And people still post to their pages.

A friend of mine was about 28 and was over at my house, complained of a persistent migraine that was driving her crazy. My wife told her she should go see a doctor, just in case. She went in and they gave her a CAT scan. Huge embolism in her brain, about to burst. Doctor told her she needed surgery immediately. She asked "OK, when do I come back in?" Doctor said you don't understand, we're going to prep you right now.

Shaved her head. Drilled four holes in her skull, then cut between the holes and removed a piece of her skull roughly 4 sq. inches. Drained the embolism and cauterized the artery. Put her head back together. Oh, all of this was done with local anesthesia. They had to make sure they weren't doing any damage so she had to be at least somewhat conscious.

It took a bit of a toll on her. After that surgery she never really was quite as active and I guess "vibrant" as before. But she was a dead woman walking just prior.

Linkedin recently recommended I 'connect' with a guy I used to work with. Unfortunately he's been dead for a number of years now.

I found a page where the person was deceased, and his nephew was closing his account.
Nephew posted......."Yaaargh..........I am Zombie!"
The family was not amused.......

I had a friend in college that had been complaining of massive headaches a few weeks before summer break. Hell, I'd give him a couple of Goody's powders and figured it would fix him up. About two weeks into break, he had a massive aneurysm on his way to get a haircut. His car went a few hundred yards through a field before it hit a tree and stopped. He was of course already dead. He was a great dude, and gone at 21 years old. You just never know.

What's really jacked up is when you discover someone's death via FB. I learned of three former colleagues that way in the same week.

Not as fast but just as definitive.....my BEST friend from HS, Rich, left the DC region to be with his psychiatrist father out in Ca. and go to college, something happened and he committed suicide over some girl or other....

I got letters and notes and shit from his family.....it is a bummer alright.....

I had thoughts of going out west to college and join him....
