There really should be a nationally recognized holiday for the winter solstice. Something called: "The days are finally going to start getting longer" day, or "The countdown to spring" day, or "That shitty season till spring" day, or my favorite: "Fuck winter" day.

you are encouraged to 'give back'. charity is wonderful, but being guilted into it is shameful. it is up to me, and me alone, to decide who, what, and how much to give to those i choose. it's not your place to dictate such.
