Really worried about my best friend..
My best friend and neighbor has been in the hospital for two weeks, and things continue to get worse. It started with a regular Doctor's appointment, and they checked his oxygen, and it was really low. They told him to go on to the emergency room, which he did. Walking in the door of the place, he had a mild heart attack. Turns out, he had double pneumonia, so that was just icing on the cake. They cleared a blockage, and put a stint in, and all seemed to be going well. Just as it looked like he would be coming home, one of his lungs ruptured, and collapsed. So, on the ventilator he went. He was on it for a day, and things started looking up. He was transferred to a hospital in Macon so they could do the surgery on his lung. Then, he started to go in reverse again. They put him back on the ventilator Wednesday. I saw him Thursday and Friday, but got word this morning that he is continuing to slide in the wrong direction. I hope and pray he makes it, but unfortunately, things are not looking good. They are keeping him completely sedated and his lungs are refusing to heal. My gut instinct at first was that he would make a full recovery, but now I'm having my doubts. Any prayers or good vibes you could send Rick's way would be appreciated. I'm pretty torn up about it...
