Default C5 mystery seat death. Solved.
Drivers seat on the 2004 just stoped Working one day about six months ago. Finally got around to pulling the seat.

Checked for voltage at the plugs. Plenty.

Looked to the seat thinking “Oh crap it’s complicated...”

Then I saw this

cut wires, tin each tip about 1/4 inch or so, always enough slack to hold tips parallel/next to each other, solder....wrap in black 'lectical' tape, and then tie wrap the bunch....and move them the HELL outta way of that offending mechanism.....take about an afternoon, untill you get time, just pull the fuse....

if it's not blown already......

Mice. It was not in an area that interfered with anything. Three wires totally disconnected - five more hanging by a thread.

Trim, add short length where needed, solder, heat shrink - seat works perfectly.

Plus I glued in the rear window. Again. Sees to last about a year.

Next door neighbor had his very new Ford pickup eaten up by what the thinks is squirrels......I think RATS....parks in driveway.....FI wires to one injector....350 bux later, and another month....same shit....I fixed it that time.....cut/skin/solder/tape/tiewrap.....DUN......

gotta be a rat killer under there....
