The last time I used Meguiar MF towel, it scratched my entire car and I had to buff it out, really pissed me off. I only use cotton towels now, for me microfiber towels are rags for wiping the wheels.

Really! Were they new? Are you sure they didn't pickup something beore you used them?
I've never used Meguiars towels, but I do have tons of Cobra microfiber towels that I love. If they seem to be crap, then they get put in the dirty work pile.

I got the towel with the claybar kit. Could have picked up something, but I don't think so. I started on my roof that was brand new, hardly any miles on it since I was using the trans roof daily. It scratched the entire car, new roof included. No microfiber towel will touch my paint ever again.

I know some MF towels are good, but I won't take a chance again. I have seen to many Vettes that the owners are using MF towels and they are scratched all to shiz.

I use them to clean my wheels and wipe down the plastic. I stopped using them on the windows, they were sticking to my glass and leaving behind some material. I have to have something to complain about.

Default MF Towels

Green, sure it was the Mf towel? I've got Mf towels by Chemical Guys, Towel Pros, Ag, and others. I also have cheap ones from Autozone, Advance, WalMart, etc... I don't use the cheap ones on the paint, but I don't think any of them have ever scratched the paint. Having the car outside during the day probably induces more scratches next to driving.

I am pretty sure, I did the claybar in straight lines with the lines of the body, I had a lot of circular scratches from the MF towel. Using the wash mit I go in straight lines also. I had to buy a buffer, pads and polish to get the scratches out, really made me mad. No MF towel will touch my paint again. I know a lot of the MF towels are OK to use, but I won't take a chance again.

Another thing, if I drop a towel or touch the tires, I replace it with clean cotton towels. Wash in the washing machine and let air dry.

Wash after use and hung to air dry, then placed into plastic bags to keep dust off them. Damn, I sound kinda anal.
