Default There is a special place in hell...
For Air Force crew chiefs. Most all of you know my background, and BoracayJohnny might chime in and verify the crew chiefs are the dirtiest of the lot. We have no social graces, we drink, swear, always plenty of smokers in the bunch, and well, I don't give a shit if you want my opinion or not, open up, here it comes. That said we have a small chat group via our phones, so we talk every day. Worst thing is, these are the guys that I want backing me up at the VA nursing home, where I'm certain to be killed. Our conversations usually contain nothing of any real value, there is usually some porn of some sort, it's literally like I never left the flight line. And ya wanna know something? I wouldn't have it any other way. Next time we all get together, I'll make sure to get some pictures that won't get us thrown in prison. That is all.

My dad was a Air Force crew chief in Korea during the war. Some the stories he told were nasty but fun. 1 example after he and my mom got married he took her to a strip club with some of his buddies. He said mom was pissed. Never did that again. I miss my dad.

What part of that could have possibly been a bad idea? I'm certain he and I would have gotten along swimmingly!

We are all retired. I did do that for the other place back in the 2000's. Signed munitions on one of the B-1's I worked a long time ago. It already belonged to Dyess AFB though. If you go to 69camfrk photobucket, you can find it.

but I read this article in the paper today.
Interesting story about an ex-NFL player who joined the National Guard.
He's now a crew chief.

He went Army. Different breed of folks there too. One of my best buds is a prior 60 crew chief.

I've got some pictures somewhere of the messages we wrote on the bombs that were getting dropped by the B-2's flying out of Diego Garcia when we were staging from there in the early 2000's. I need to see if i can dig those up!
