About 3 months ago I replaced my 14 year old washer and dryer with Samsung washer and dryer. They work great but I still don't know if I like them. I think I like the agitators in the old washers for some reason I don't think washers without agitators clean as well but thats just my uneducated guess.

Your guess is spot on. I've read that the reason front loading washers exist is that they use less water. The average annual rainfall where I live is 58", so we have no water shortage. Washers with agitators do clean better.
