Default Bleeding!!!!

...Your brakes. I want to remove my calipers, clean them, probably repaint them, lube them and reinstall. I know that in order to do this, I will obviously have to empty the brake fluid from the system then refill after reassembling. Do the bleeding systems work? The one I'm looking at is http://www.amazon.com/Motive-Products-Bleeder-Adapters-European/dp/B0002KM5L0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331134901&sr=8-1. Anyone with any experience using a one-person system like this?

Honestly, I like the good old fashioned way of pumping your brakes..unfortunately it is a two person operation that way.

I bought/used one when I changed my booster and master cylinder. I felt it worked very well.

I still like having any brake work done by someone pumping up the brakes and forcing all the air out of the system. But I have used that style bleeder when doing a brake flush. Two things to do if you use that style, pinch off the rubber flex line going to the caliper so you don't drain out the m/c when you take the calipers off and two when you get all the air out of a caliper close the bleeder screw take off the suction line and reopen the screw until a few drops hit the floor.
If you are going to paint your calipers you should look into having them powdercoated lasts longer and looks less cheesy.

I love my Motive bleeder. I highly recommend it.

Save a step. Paint your rotors instead.

Actually, I meant powdercoat--they're originally red, but for some reason Porsche's brake caliper paint doesn't seem to stand the tests of time. There is a shop in my area that powdercoats calipers

I've used a Motive brake bleeder on several Vettes & works great. I highly recommend it.
