Default I forgot how good they were.....
Kind of a cold rainy day today is SLC so I've been in the garage tonight detailing the C5 for a run with a few friends this weekend. I had the stereo in the garage pumped up with some old Lynyrd Skynyrd and remembered just how good they were. Had to come back in tonight and fire up the strat, turn on the Marshalls and make some noise. It was a good evening.

Not much left of them I'm afraid. Since that performance they have lost Billy Powell on keyboards to a heart attack and Ean Evans on bass to cancer. These guys just keep re-inventing themselves.

100% agree with you here Jon. Skynyrd rules and so does Southern Rock
Give me an iPod full of Skynyrd, Stevie Ray and Molly Hatchet and I would die a happy man.
ps I know SRV is not southern rock, just like him

Picking on JD again I see...Im a little late for this thread but I just wanted to let you know Friz " Thank God Im a country boy" was one of JDs most listened to songs. They actually played it at all of the Baltimore Orioles baseball games for many many years to get the crowd motivated. I havent lived there for nine years so maybe they still do..There's probably more albums with that song and "Take Me Home,Country Roads" on it here in West Virginia then any other album ever made.. I also like Lynyrd Skynyrd and have some of there CDs in my Vette.. I like almost all music except Opera and Rapp... Its all good......WW

PS: I also really like Lady Gaga....Go figure....
