Thanks! I watched some www vids, and read some articles on using agriculture molasses and water for rust removal. I pulled the sending unit out yesterday and took a peek inside. I think it is just too far gone and will only trash up the carb even after the treatment. There was also gas buildup on the outside of it. I think it also has pinholes in it.
