Default Now This Is A Pistol Range !

A 1 foot thick barrier of crusher run held by real 2'x 10" boards and 6"x6" treated posts.
As you can see, there is no penetration through to the back with 9mm, .38 sp, or 357 magnum. Now you can see the down hill pitch that the range has.
Nice hu?

There you go, there you have it, there it is!

Looks good to me. I would however add a couple 4x4's above the head of the target just in case of a high shot.

Ya, I'm going to add 2 just like you said and add more crusher run inside it to boot.
It's perfect!
I so want to try the SKS on it but I think that the result will be a tad different.

Start at the crotch. Short bursts. The barrel rise won't be as bad then as to go over the top.

I'm not going to do it.
My neighbor has a 300 yard range with a huge concrete and dirt mound at his house if I ever get the urge.

I have a shooting table and beanbags ready to go in there.
That's why it's so perfect.
Like you said, even if it's raining, all I have to do is open the garage door and shoot away.. It's all down hill too, as the barn floor is a good 4' up from the ground.

For all the doubters, just enter 86 Cook 14052, hit Coogle Earth, and look at the lay of the land. That's a lot of woods between me and the neighbors.

I like that! why let a rainy day spoil the fun

I still think right in front of it would be a good place for a feed bowl for Jeff's neighbors grouchy Rottweiler...

They are contained by an invisible fence and now that the trees have filled in, they can't see us, so there is very little barking anymore.
That would be a heavy lift to have to shoot a neighbor's dog. Unless it was attacking, I wouldn't do it. Hiding the body would be a pita...

Really! This place is going down hill fast.
Not even a chop of the carnage...

My neighbors would have it cooked, and eaten so fast no one would never find it....

Which is worth more on the open market... 40 yards of bullet-riddled dirt, or a bunch of bullet-riddled boards?
