I still have one in the garage stereo. Had it since I was 13. Just found some unopened 8 tracks here in the house I scored a few years ago too.

Still have the OEM 8 track I took out of my '78 Trans Am SE. It worked when I removed it (well, as good as any 8 track player worked).

Never had an 8 Track even though all my friends did (early 1970s). I was an early adapter to cassettes. Just gave away my Pioneer home deck a couple of years ago.

Although my real player is long gone, I still have a toy with a mono speaker that plays 8-tracks, and still have a few laying around somewhere.
I was always big into cassettes and still have hundreds.
I await the day that the vinyl and digital music lovers realize the superior sound quality of magnetic tape

NO but my friends dad was an engineer when we grew up and he used to fix our 8 track tapes when they split and broke. He was never happier than when he was unraveling one of those things.

I have a Sony almost the same as that, just a different face. Worked last time I tried it, and I have about 100+ tapes in the basement. I Don't know if they still work or not, but I used to like them because you had a choice of 4 songs at your finger tips.
