Listen to the Ghost. First machine should require no more than energize, set for soil density and detect. Do not get all hung up on discrimination, depth or is my coil bigger than Jim's. I do however recommend spending the coin on a decent pinpointer wand. That will ease actually finding the object in the spoils.

Hard to believe there are enough suckers still watching it to make it viable.

They caught a guy at Chickamauga like that once. They impounded his truck, everything in it, he went to jail. They wound up fining him an ungodly amount of $$$, time in jail or prison, seized his truck and sold it, warrant to search his house and confiscate things from it. They made an EXAMPLE out of him. Stay off federal or state properties.

My friend spent almost an hour trying to find a object when he first started....it was his wedding ring, under his gloved hand all along

Thanks for the advice and info everyone . I just ordered a Nokta Makro Simplex + , I think it should be a good beginner machine. They had a few leftover still priced at Black Friday prices with an extra or two thrown in.
