Marco just went through another door switch

Door switch was giving me fits (interior lights and radio wouldn't go off after key off, etc) so I ordered another from Ecklers last spring (actually 2, my mistake...which will work out well for a change). Installed new switch, all was well for a few months.

Now, I start the car, close the door, and the "door" idiot light stays on. Great. I can take a pair of needle nose and pull the tiny plunger that "sets" the switch distance out a bit, close the door, and it will work fine again for a few times....then it goes too far into the main switch body, and the problem starts again.

I have the spare I ordered, but I'm thinking of just pulling out the plunger, "setting" the switch, and then JB Welding the damn plunger to the correct distance....since the other switch is the same Chinese crap as the first.

Im having that problem with The Ghost since I got it but, I go and push in-out few times and that does the trick. Im going to try WD40, it fixes almost everything anyways.

Be careful opening the door tonight....Crocamonga might be trick or treating. Better have the Alien waiting behind a shrub just in case.

Oh Man!!! I got to go to the Halloween Store and buy a Croc Costume. This way I dont have to photochop.

I am appalled, appalled I tell you, that you were given the go ahead run and did not capitalize on it.

All kidding aside, I would try some Breakfree CLP. With the lubricant and cleaner you might get some crud out ot the mechanism.
