Intake/vacuum leak. I'd put money on it. Check youtube for how to make a dirt cheap smoke type leak detector. Also spray brake cleaner around ports, gaskets, any suspected air leak places.

I made one for 20 maybe 25 bucks with enough left of most materials to make 2 or 3 more.
