I need to splice into a cable TV cable to run a new line. Can I cut the existing cable without disconnecting it first?

yes, and where ya cut put 1:2 splitter.

Ya will need three new ends and a crimper and make sure the splitter frequency covers what is on your system

Unless have proper strippers and crimpers it's best to run from an end already done if possible. Digital alot pickier and you could have issues afterwards.

Thanks! I’ve got the splitter, crimper, ends, etc. I know it’s low voltage. It would be a pain to disconnect it before cutting.

should be no voltage unless it has a connection to a preamp/amp to back power
