That sounds like quite the project! I got my Rejex in the mail the other day, gonna clay it and put on the Rejex this week. I also got some dawn per forum suggestions for the pre and post clay washings, I'm not doing any polishing though.

After the third wash with Dawn, I could tell there was no wax & zainos remaining, clean slate for the rejex.

One of the nice parts about a good coat of Rejex is that it amplifies the sheeting action of water. So when you're washing your car you can just "dry" it by using water right out of the hose. The water "sticks" together and sheet right off the car. I've seen this trick in detailing videos over the years, but I'd never had it work very well until I started using Rejex.

Yesterday I put a heavy coat of Rejex on. After work today, it had been drying in my garage for about 20 hours or so and the excess wiped off easy. Unlike zainos and meguiars wax it wiped off with no oily film residue which is obvious with a black car. By the time I got it wiped down it was dark outside, I wasn't able to check it in the sun. I put another quick coat on it tonight and hopefully I can repeat the process tomorrow.

When I threw my cotton rag on the windshield it slide to the bottom, I guess it has been a while since I rejexed my windshield.

So far I am happy with the rejex, getting it out in the sun will be the real test. We will see the results at waterside.

You're only supposed to let it dry for 30 minutes or so... then keep in inside for 12 hours for maximum results. You're not supposed to apply it and let it sit that long.

Damn, I can't do anything right. I read the rejex website just now, it recommends about 20 minutes and then wipe off. I guess I remembered the 12 hour cure time and took it to the extreme. I will wipe it off tomorrow, had to many beers to attempt it tonight.

After 20 hours of setting I am guessing it slows down the cure time, I am assuming no foul to the process only a delay in the time required to cure (I hope).

On the way to the garage for a beer, looking at the Vette and wondering, am I Fing up leaving rejex on for 20 hours???? To play it safe, I wiped it down while drinking a couple more.

Just an observation, after 20 hours it wipes easier and cleaner. No doubt the cure time will be quicker with the excess removed.

I'm sure you're fine.... that's the nice thing about Rejex.... you can put it on everything and it always wipes up w/o any dusty residue even if you miss a spot and leave it on for a long time.

I am glad that is the case, I missed a lot of spots last night, must have been due to being so dark.
