Uh, seems to me they screamed and cried like little bitches for 8 years. And now that they've lost the House, they're still screaming and crying like little bitches.

In fact, I still see them on hear screaming and crying about Bush, 2 years after he left office.

A White House official says President Barack Obama will call for a five-year freeze in non-security, discretionary spending during his State of the Union address.

The official says the proposal will be part of the president's plans to reduce the deficit that he will outline in Tuesday's primetime address.

The official says Obama will also call for lawmakers to back a five-year plan put forth by Defense Secretary Robert Gates to save $78 billion in defense spending.

In areas outside the freeze, we also will be looking for cuts and efficiencies," a senior White House official told NBC News.

Obama is under pressure from the public and lawmakers to cut spending. Several Republican lawmakers have proposed cutting $100 billion from Obama's budget for the current year.

The move is almost identical to the freeze Obama called for in his address to the nation last year at this time — his current proposal would cover five years, not three years — and ultimately it may have little effect.

Congress decides the budget on its own terms, and Obama has even less sway than he did in his first two years on the job now that Republicans have taken control of the House.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly ahead of the president's speech.

Victims and heroes of Tucson shooting to attend 'State of the Union'

An intern to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords who aided the congresswoman after she was shot in the head and the family of a 9-year-old girl who was killed will sit with first lady Michelle Obama for President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday night.

Giffords' husband, Houston-based astronaut Mark Kelly, does not plan to attend, her office said Monday. Giffords was transferred last Friday from the Tucson hospital where she has been since the Jan. 8 shooting to a Houston facility for rehabilitation.

Intern Daniel Hernandez was hailed as a hero after the shooting in Tucson in which 18 others were shot at a constituent event the Democratic congresswoman was holding. Six people were killed, including a federal judge and 9-year-old girl Christina Taylor Green.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday that Hernandez and Green's family would attend the speech.

The 20-year-old University of Arizona student rushed to Giffords' side and put pressure on her wounds until medical personnel arrived.

When he spoke Jan. 12 at a nationally televised memorial service in Tucson for the victims, Hernandez shunned the hero label.
But when it was his turn to speak, Obama politely disagreed and assured Hernandez that he was, in fact, a hero.

Hernandez sat next to Obama during the service. On Tuesday night, he will sit in the first lady's box overlooking the floor of the House.

Giffords' office said that her Arizona doctors -- trauma surgeons Peter Rhee and Randall Friese and neurosurgeon Michael Lemole – and nurse Tracy Culbert planned to attend the annual address.
