Always wanted one but I want a particular table called Pinbot. The ones I found are out of my price range. Someday I'll get one.

I know a few people who built vPin machines. Some of them are quite elaborate with bass shakers being used as haptic feedback, real ball shooters that have been digitized and separate backglass displays. Their builds are always interesting and they say they play very realistically, but I've never tried one. One of them says he has several thousand machines in his setup and has gone through every one to make sure it plays correctly.

Not pinball, but I've been thinking of buying a sit-down 412 arcade game cocktail table.

I wouldn't mind having a Super Flipper - a pinball machine from 1975 with a monochrome CRT as the playfield. It was like Pong and a pinball machine had a love child. Very unusual and ground-breaking for its day. It also had an interesting flaw: if you rubber your feet on the carpet and then touched the coin box with your keys, the static discharge would cause a free credit to ring up. There was also at least one scenario where if you held the flippers in exactly the right spot the ball would bounce around forever in a cycle as long as you held the flipper there.

I have had a Williams Black Knight 2000 since the 90s. It's easily my favorite from that time frame. There is a pretty recent Black Knight Sword of Rage that is probably the best machine I've played but for the price, I'm good with my BK2K, especially since parts are not hard to find.
BTW, I loved Tempest back in the day too but lost many more quarters to Robotron. Here's BK2K... |

I've got an Indiana Jones pinball I was lucky enough to have bought back in the late 90's before the prices went crazy. |

@Mike Mercury
Tim - I kept meaning to send you this video, but never got around to doing it. Now seems to be a good time to do it lol. I found this very interesting as I didn't know how they did the voice until now. |

Yesterday evening my 11 year old grandson hit Ransom on the Black Knight. I wasn't there when it happened but he was quite impressed. And yes... great soundtrack! |

@Mike Mercury I actually bought a Ultra VP earlier this year and love it. It doesn't replace playing real pinball however it's as close as you can possibly get without having the real thing. It wasn't cheap, but with the pricing the way it is these days, for the price of a newer one I am able to play over 1500 tables. Here is a video of the 6.0 that I bought that shows you everything it can do. I am absolutely not good with woodwork so the extra cost of having it all assembled was worth it to me. I love it!! Below are a couple of pictures of mine: |

Thank you. I would rather spend 4K on Scotch... 1K is my current budget for a machine... I can almost get there with some recent eBay listings but the local pickup in Cali or Washington state is a bit difficult... I don't even own a pickup truck at present.

I'm just about done working on the machine. Thought I'd make a video playing to display that everything works properly in case I decide to put it up for sale soon. By chance I happen to have my best game ever with a score of 979,000. The game took so long my camera ran out of memory before I finished. Skip to 9:00 to see multi-ball and two levels simultaneously.
