Inadequate fuel pressure?
I believe I may need a fuel pump. Car (1994, 82k miles) has always ran great! This morning on the way to work about twenty fives minutes into my drive it developed a stumble. Not a miss so much, more like just cutting out at highway speeds. Left work and the same thing. Five minutes from home it would stumble every time I would put it under throttle. Light load not bad but over a quarter throttle it would buck and stumble.
Got home amd hooked up a fuel pressure gauge. Idles about 34 psi. Bring it up to 2k/2500 rpms and it drops to 32 psi and stumbles. Turn off and it holds about 32 psi. I didn't let it sit long enough to see if it was bleeding down. Opinions? Full pump most likely? I don't know if it has ever been changed. |
