Default Stars aligned? Planning to take the classic out tomorrow.

Was snowy/icy for a few weeks, left a METRIC SHIT TON of salt everywhere! Then, was rainy and nasty for a few weeks, seems to have washed the salt away. Today was nice, but chilly, and the roads were still a little puddly, but it was so sunny, it looks like they mostly dried up!

Planning a top-down cruise in the '70 tomorrow as a bird flippage to "winter-storage". Who's with me?

Weather's been similar here, the salt's probably all gone. Sun was out all day and will be for the next several days. But will not get the Vette out, once I put it away for the winter I forget about it til spring. Then it's like a brand-new toy.

But the days are getting much longer, today has 10 hours 45 seconds of daylight, will gain 2.5 minutes tomorrow.

Another sign of what's coming: The first crop of the year, maple syrup. The sugar shack a mile down the road from me is putting up more sap lines than they've previously had. The sweetwater will start flowing probably in a week or two, depending on the weather.

[Juvenile Soy Boy from the Sweltering Swamp State] It got down to 65 here last night so still shivering in the house from the extreme cold. Too cold to take my gay lavender Corvette out of the garage. [/Juvenile Soy Boy from the Sweltering Swamp State]

Still salty here. But roads are mostly dry. Our last precipitation was in the crystal form.

I took my vette out this weekend because I wasn't allowed to drive in January. I have a cordless Ryobi power washer hosed to a Jerry can of water I used to give a little rinse on the underside. Haven't turned on the outdoor faucets yet, still getting below 20 at night this month.

It’s funny in the early spring on the 1st 60deg day there is always some numb skull driving around with the top down because 60deg in spring is way hotter than 60deg in the fall.

I drive my car until there is salt on the roads, occasional December rides are the norm if there has been no snow yet. It's rare for me to get it out in February, but it has happened before. High temp today is predicted to be about 45 degrees, plenty warm enough to be out with the top down and the heat running!

Last ride in December, I had a problem with the choke sticking. I'll have to address that this morning. Now that the day had dawned sunny and mild, trouble with that is probably the only thing that might keep me off the road today!

I don’t understand why so many here don’t have their location shown in their profile so when they post on these subjects people have a correlation for others to understand?

Or if it matters to you then you could ask the OP.

Or people could add it to their profile to make simple for ALL to see. What is everybody afraid of showing their location?

It s also a pet peeve of mine that companies don’t list their physical location on the Net these days. Especially with the cost of shipping—many people might want to pick up merchandise in person if the live close by.

Many online businesses don't have a storefront or otherwise aren't set up to accept walk in traffic

People used to, and maybe still do, fill up their sigs with useless crap and stupid sayings. So, we all turned off sigs. Now, we use the Location field in our profiles for stupid sayings and shit.

Of course, you are more than welcome to use the Location field for your actual location.

Hit the garage shortly after 11, popped the air cleaner off and twisted the throttle, the choke plate slapped closed with authority. I don't know what happened back in December, but after checking a few fluids, I was out and about!

Went through a local park, and there was some sort of Jewish walk or protest (bad pic below), other then that pretty quiet.

Cruised around the neighborhood, I am very out of practice driving that car! Was a nice ride, but only about 13 miles before my arthritic knee got tired of working the clutch. Forecast is so good, I might get it out again later this week!

Edited to add: I am in Northern NJ. The park in the picture is Tamaques Park in Westfield NJ.

Many don’t bother with the location on their profile because everyone already knows who they are and their location. I don’t think it’s because they are afraid of anything.

We are getting our biggest rain event of the season over the weekend. Atmospheric River, etc. I had the '66 GTO convertible out on Wednesday, though. We drive year-round out here in Commiefornia.

Living in central Az. @3500 ft above sea level we drive the year around. The few times we get snow it is usually light and gone by noon and there is NO SALT used.
I drive my cars In my signature daily. The 65 coupe is my winter car and my 66 L72 convertible is my summer car. My 72 El Camino is my TRUCK.
