You know, you could probably sell that GTO and buy two C8s with the money. Just sayin'.

But I wouldn't.

Considering he put that much into the car, I'd say yes, he could. No he won't. He'll get a C8 when he's damn good and ready.

THAT car is BUILT allrighty......only one thing I may add, to get a 36 gallon 70 something Caddy fuel tank, rear plate filler......and it's a bolt in for that Goat, at least it was in my '70 Lemans....only thing was to cut a oval in the trunk bottom and put a cap on it, for the fuel gauge clearance.....

Nope but I could've bought 2 new ones with cash.

Until I get the frame off paint and interior reno work done, she's only worth a bit more than 1 new one; but that's the game as you know...

Got an 18 gallon tank with in tank pump. Any larger and I'd have to do some cutting which I'm avoiding at all costs.
Only cut work was on the floor pan to accommodate the trans.

I'd love a larger tank though. I'm guessing she's gonna settle into being ~14-16 mpg on the highway but only if I can manage to keep my foot out of it.

Yeah man

Battle now is whether or not I change the original color. I was set on keeping it the same color but jazzing the metal flake a bit.

Now I'm thinking; if I'm doing a resto-mod its original color should have no bearing on future value. We're doing a frame off resto and prepping/painting all surfaces.

I'd like to do a really deep metallic cobalt blue. Something along the lines of the electron blue of the C5 Z but a bit lighter.

I ASSume same tank as was in my '70.....I used to have a GM junkyard nearby me up north, and knew the operator....so I had freedom to rome....and went looking for a larger tank due to it being a tow car on specific trips with the kids.....not want to bother stopping for gas......so I found this Caddy tank that had the same horizontal shape/dimensions, just longer straps for the depth, same rear filler tube to the flip down license plate, and modded the trunk base as the caddy tank had a bulge for the fuel pickup for some reason....so a 2" bulge in middle of the trunk....

Colors are very hard to describe, but from what you say, it would look like my '72 vette, except it's green, I want to say similar/same shade/depth?? anyway, yes more metallic, makes a rich color visible from backside of the MOON......

Don't care for the C4 wheels on your shark. The rest of the car, however,

Very nice, looks and sounds good. Brings back a lot of good memories from that era, bunch of cool guys I hung around with that had souped-up muscle cars.
