a screen type test is needed; this will help a lot. Right now, some people are faking symptoms - just to get early tested. A pre-screen (I imagine it's a RNA type test) would help thwart wasted confirmatory test kits.

Well they were gouging people by charging 6 times the normal cost, so naturally I thought it was you.

My company, Abbott Vascular has been involved in the developing the test kit. We have assisted in making the plastic parts for the test. This machine you may have seen on the news or when President Trump showed it in his regular announcements. Since I work from home supporting the metrology/calibration departments and functions as a SME (subject matter expert), I have not been directly involved. The information below is what I received from my director who is my boss.

UPDATE:

We did an overnight shipment/Saturday delivery to the lab that is evaluating our product. They received the package at 10:00 this morning and contacted us earlier today stating that they were initially going to test another product in parallel with ours but after a preliminary look-see, they are dropping the other company's product to focus on ours. They were amazed that in two weeks time we managed to create the most production ready prototype they have ever seen. Their words, not mine.
