Default Worst live performance in your opinion

Aerosmith, late 70's, at the old Boston Garden. 45 minutes of noise.

You beat me to it. Saw them in 1984. Horrible show. They were all drunk, on dope or something. Joe Perry jumped off the drum platform and landed on Steve Tyler. Roadies had to carry Joe off stage. Tyler staggered off. They were out of key, you name it. Night Ranger opened for them and they were great.

George Jones, Sunrise Musical Theatre, Sunrise FL, 1982, yeah, he was drunk, messed up the lyrics.
I got a refund at the box office, THEN went back to my seat for the rest of the show.

Elton John, 1995 (?) in Roanoke, VA. No band or back up, just 90 minutes with a piano. Same with Gordon Lightfoot in 1977, just him and a guitar. Both were boring.

Easy, the wife talked me into seeing Rufus Wainwright.

He came out in a dress......I knew right there I wanted out!

I mean bad!

The worst one I can remember was Eartha Kitt. My friend worked for the group that brought in more....eclectic acts, and so we usually had free tickets to anything that sounded remotely interesting. I do recall a show we went to that we decided to walk out on after about a half hour. Not sure if that was this one, or something so unmemorable I forgot who it was.

A surprisingly good show that we snuck into via her office's direct tunnel to Jones Hall (home of the Houston Symphony-very good acoustics) was Erasure. They were sold out, but we managed to find a couple of decent orchestra seats, after scoping things out and walking to them just as the show was about to start. I had another friend that bought tickets that were way up in the mezzanine section.

I used to go see the Rockets fairly often. We'd show up a few minutes after tip-off and buy tickets from desperate scalpers trying to unload their inventory for something before it became totally worthless. If they were upper prom, we'd kind of scope out lower prom and find empty seats, then, move down about half way through the game, when no one was checking anything anymore.

You sure you weren't seeing 'Beto's' band?

I mean, who wouldn't want that guy to be the governor or their senator?

I think the only one I wanted to walk out on was Jim Brickman. It was OK until Donny Osmond came on stage.
