You have everyone in one accord which you can, and keep the businesses open and the people from other counties will show up also. Over 85% of the people i talk with including liberals are tired of this sh*t.

With Uber eats ...door dash etc is it that f’kn hard to support restaurants that can’t have people inside.

It’s not rocket surgery

Pick up the phone and order....problem solved. Places here are busier with take out orders than when they could have dine in.

Try and be part of the solution, not the problem

Yep. Screw the waitstaff, because they don't matter. Have the delivery services hang the restaurants out by their balls with fees. I have no idea where you live, but to-go is a joke compared to what the restaurants in LA make with dine-in. I am absolutely continuing to support with take-out, never delivery service, but I have many friends that are getting hit very hard. And again, when you see the obvious actions of "this doesn't apply to us", it's pretty hard to believe the aristocracy of CA and LA are doing this in the best interests of anyone but themselves.

I'm not yet at the point of believing this is a huge plot to eliminate small business to enable the big guys, but plot or not, it may result in that outcome.

So let's assume for a moment that this is a plot to eliminate small businesses. Since small businesses make up the bulk of the economy, what possible endgame could the ruling elites have in mind?

Restaurants here have their waitstaff taking orders, filling orders etc and we tip 15-20% when having take out.

I heard months ago people in the US were making more money staying at home being paid relief funds from the government and the problem would be getting them back to work.

There’s no conspiracy to kill small business. That’s the bulk of the people paying the taxes

I don't live in L.A County so i don't have that problem. We can go to the restaurants and eat out doors. You guys eat outdoors?

RIF. I said I don't believe it for the reasons you stated.

So, let me take another tack...

If the closure of small businesses drive that business to larger, corporate entities, because people need to eat, buy stuff, etc., would there be a net change other than people needing to rely on "big" businesses?

Waitstaff is gone in LA. Managers are taking orders, tending bar, etc. Thankfully, about 30% of the kitchen staff remains employed, but it is a far cry from being open.

Relief funds were provided, but certainly don't measure up to ~$100 a day in tips.

The people will pay taxes as the government sees fit, regardless of whether they are part of small business. Government abhors a tax vacuum.

I have no idea who was making more staying at home, although we have provided great encouragement to do so long before the virus.

What small businesses? Target, Walmart, Costco etc? You weren't around when families had small businesses. Where you got T.V, and appliances fixed. You went to the butcher shop and got your meat. Your eggs, milk, and bread were delivered to you. Families had shoe stores, places to buy your vacuum and to get it fixed. Then the big companies came in and family owned businesses started to fade away. Families had gas stations and diners. Small businesses can't afford to pay off Politicians just the big boys.

A bit funny to me...

We knew Sol Price when Price Club was a small business in San Diego. There's a whole long story about how the senior management of PC broke off to do Costco, and then ate Price Club.
