Jl 600/4
My system is Kenwood 9140 HU, JL C5 6.5 component speakers in the doors with the tweeters mounted behind the door latches and pointed up and back. Crossovers in the glove box. JL 10w3 in a stealth box.
I've been running Xtant 1.1 (100w) amps for the doors and a an Xtant 300w sub amp. Well the sub amp took a dump so I took the opportunity to simplify things. Picked up a JL 600/4. I run 150w to the doors (gain turned down) and bridged the rear channels for 300w to the sub. It took a total of about an hour to change the amps out this morning and it sounds great. The new amp is tiny - about 10x8x2. I still need to play with all the setting but so far it sounds great. Lowcash is coming over this morning and we'll be working on the sound in his car. He's going to use the Xtant 100w amps for his doors and I have another MTX sub amp we'll mount up for future use. |

Sounds cool. I look forward to beefing up my audio system someday, it's next on my list.

I should have taken pictures of the destruction this morning; interior parts all over the garage. A lot of cables pulled, only 1 parts run and the only blood drawn today was a small cut on my finger. We also got my headunit properly mounted so it opens/closes correctly.
I could not have done this install without Kevin's help. Now if I can these damn tweeters off backorder so I can plug everything up (after I re-pull the driver side cables again). There is a pretty good chance there will be a subwoofer purchased around X-mas.

I think she was a little surprised that this time the car in pieces wasn't yours.
