Default What do you like?

Wondering what everyone's favorites are for audio goodies. We'll just keep it simple and limit it to amps and speakers. Mostly just interested in your favorite brands e.g., Focal, JL, Boston etc... but if you want to throw in some model numbers that's cool. Might as well tell your reasoning behind your choices too.

Thanks.

I have Elemental Designs edi 6000 in my car right now for front components Infinity 6012 shallow mount in rear ED e5.12 12 inch sub JL Audio e6450 and a ED Nine 2x

I am going to get rid of the JL amp and replace it with one of the new Solid FOcal amps this sprige. As much as I live the ED speakers I am also replacing them with Focal this spring as well. HAving heard the Focal products they are amazing.

I also have access at some discounted pricing on Focal as well

The ED e5.12 sub is awesome

Its been so long sense I was in the audio. Last "system" I had in any car was in 1998 and it was all kenwood. Head unit was from the execlon series, had a face plate that rotated when off and the front was all smooth...been out the game too long now to give good advice. Would like to upgrade mine nothing wild just a mild so I guess I sit back and learn what new stuff works

Old-skool Soundstream Reference series is by far my favorite for amps. Precision Power Art series after that..(pre-1996 stuff, Back in the day amps were manufactured in the US).

At one time, the car audio scene was my obsessive hobby. But like above, I've been out of the game way too long to be any source of advice....other than the amps, I'm not budging there. The vintage stuff has yet to be equaled.
