CNN host suggests Americans wear hijabs to show solidarity with fearful Muslims

A CNN host used a segment on Islamophobia on Monday to suggest American non-Muslims may want to start wearing hijabs.

“New Day” with Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota featured a piece titled “The Trump transition: Fearful Muslim women take steps to be safe” just hours before Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 20, attempted to use a vehicle and a butcher knife to kill Ohio State University students. The ill-timed story ended with Ms. Camerota discussing ways to ease the fears of Muslim Americans.

“Maybe there will be a movement where people wear the head scarf in solidarity. You know, even if you’re not Muslim,” Ms. Camerota said, The Daily Caller reported Tuesday. “Maybe it’s the way people shave their heads, you know, sometimes in solidarity with somebody who is going through something.”



Mr. Cuomo took a breath and responded, “I think self-defense training is good for everyone.”

“Yes, I know you’re a big proponent of that,” Ms. Camerota replied.

News broke shortly afterward that Artan, a Somali immigrant who arrived in the U.S. in 2014, injured 11 people in Columbus Ohio

or alternately Alisyn, maybe you and some friends should go over there, wearing your normal western attire (skirts above the knee, low necklines, exposed shoulders, uncovered heads), and try to convince those in charge that they are wrong, oppressive, and need to change their ways right now. lots of luck. after all, isn't your goal to free these women from their oppressive situation? not join them in their misery?

Not really, but how's this for a reality check. Why don't the Muslims try to assimilate with US life? They claim they came here for the "American Dream" but all it seams they want to do is turn the US into the third world shitholes they came from.

Exactly. A small minority of the population live like kings, the rest live in absolute poverty. You want to come to the US I only have two rules

1. Do it legally
2. Make every effort to assimilate. Learn the language, don't impose your laws beliefs on us. You adapt, we don't.

We use to have this thing called the "Melting pot" It was the crucible of the real world either accepting and using your cultural, educational, moral and other standards or it ate you up and spit you out.

Now we have "Multiculturalism" and "diversity"where no matter how backward or screwed up your standards are they are given equal weight to the most successful and efficient.

And we wonder why we have such a problem moving ahead now.

*Full disclosure, I'm not a big drinker and went each deployment following General Order #1. However, I know of some folks that didn't.

**Interesting story time. A young lady was on her first deployment back in '04. There's GO 1 and I forget the one about no opposite sex in your tent/bed. Well, the Shirt made a surprise inspection on her tent. The Shirt and his female assistant found an open wall locker with a bottle of Jack Daniels staring back and a dude in the single bed with the young lady. Hey, she just wanted all the comforts of home while in a shit hole. The young lady was soon on a leaving C-17.
