Cream Cheese/Choc. Filled Cake

This is not good for either your blood sugar or waistline, but if you like chocolate you should like this.

Cream Cheese/Choc. Filled Cake

Base:
Yellow cake mix
¾ cup water
1/3 cup oil
3 eggs

Filling:
¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
2 tablespoons margarine
¼ cup milk
½ tsp vanilla
8 oz.l cream cheese -softened
4 sp.l semisweet choc melted
1 egg

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour pan.
In large bowl blend cake mix, water, oil, and eggs
until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at highest speed.
Pour half of batter into pan and set remaining batter aside.

In small bowl blend all filling ingredients and beat at highest
speed until smooth and creamy. Pour mixture over batter,
spreading to cover. Pour remaining batter over filling.

Bake for 45-55 mins.

Frosting

1/3 cup soft butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
¼ cup milk
3 squares unsweetened choc melted.

Beat butter and 1 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in melted chocolate. Add rest of sugar alternating
with milk and vanilla. Mix till smooth and creamy.

Being a full time hermit it would require someone that is sociable to come up with an idea. I do cakes not people.

Sounds good to me. I am an equal opportunity baker as long as I can give them away. Damn doctor won't let me eat this stuff anymore. At least not the entire cake in about 2 days as I have been known to do.
