Easy does it. You don't want to be lugging around grapefruits!

Pay heed to the "Ol Timer", for he knows what he's talking about.

Had the snip done about 30 years ago, ehhh, no big deal. Had the procedure done Fri afternoon, went back to work Monday, walked up a two story set of steps, by the time I reached the top, I dropped to my knees and had to be carried back to my vehicle. Then I listened to the doc, stayed home for a week and stayed away from steps. Lesson learned, the tough guy shit only goes so far........

Take the time to let the cuts heal. I had mine done 28 years ago and did exactly what I was told.

I feel like I got kicked in the balls right now. So damn sore, wish I had gone to get my script for afterwards but I just wanted to get home. Will go get it filled in the morning.

That's nothing compared to how she's gonna feel when you're driving it home in two months...

Be careful for a few days going down stairs, stepping off a curb, etc.; step gently!

I had mine ~35 years ago. How did the doc numb you? I had injections in the cords. He warned me what it was going to feel like, & he was right. The worst was waiting while he walked around the table to do the other side. A friend who had it done by the same doc said he got a pill, and after a little while felt nothing. He must have had better insurance.

years ago I had a pea sized tumor on my right nut....they operated and removed the tumor....when I woke up I felt very cold in that area.....I pulled the blanket up and the nurses had filled a rubber glove up with water and froze it....it was an ice hand holding my balls ! I asked the nurse if I needed to keep this on and she said.....no, not if you don't mind waking up tomorrow with balls the size of grapefruits !
I asked her for another frozen hand which she promptly brought to me .

You'll be fine, Rob. Just take it easy the next few days!

Do not go outside and start doing a bunch of yard work. Get as much rest as you can, and keep the frozen peas cycling throughout the weekend.

Welcome to the club!

They have me a Valium when I got there to relax (and basically did nothing for me) and then they gave me shots to numb the area which had to be repeated several times during the procedure.

The cool thing was I sat up and watched the whole time to see how it was done and what things looked like inside the goodie bag. It was interesting and the only part that was bad when he and the nurse were burning the snipped ends. That was a horrible smell

ODD, in that I had it done about 32 years ago, and I don't recall anything much about it, just a local shot to numb the region, Doc doing the cutting, and me wanting to donate some leftovers to the NICE looking young nurse....

I worked with a first sergeant years ago who had one and thought he was tough enough to play tennis the next day. He could have played basketball with the results from that decision.

I found it somewhat uncomfortable to watch the doctor actually retrieve the vas deferens from the slit and then cut it. The feeling and the sight of them coming out of the slit was really freaky to me.

My oldest son asked me this morning if I had a robot leg put in at the hospital and if it was all under the skin.

I replied that it was a minor modification that was done.

I found out that when you have a high tolerance to pain you also have a high tolerance to local anesthesia. When he started to pull them out I let out a moan and told him I now know what fish feels like when being gutted.

I got two more shots and was told later most people pass out when that happened.

Guess I'm not the only one who finds it fascinating. I've asked to see a few procedures and the docs try to talk me out of it.
One of them was a skin graft in my mouth. It's weird to see what should be excruciating pain but not feel it.

They did have to give me extra rounds of shots. They said it normally takes 2 shots and I needed 6.

Fortunately, my looks and personality have always been effective birth control tools.
