Cancer sucks shnit through a straw. I have seen what it can do and my prayers are with him. The road to recovery is rocky.

Thanks for the thread and the support all. Posting for an iPad on a crappy hospital network. Pain in the butt.

Today is day 2 of chemo. Thankfully no side effect yet, I hope that continues.

Home tomorrow after my 3rd treatment if nothing changes.

Will update when I can. All prayers greatfully accepted.

Woody, it was the same for me. My issues came after the first full week of chemo and then the Bleomycin the next week.
You MUST have your wife make you eat and get out of bed. IT is IMPERATIVE. Tough love during chemo is a must. You will most likely lose your hair and taste. You will be tired all the time. If you start having issues with hearing, IE massive tinnitus, let your Dr. know immediately. BLEO can cause permanent hearing damage. Keep your port clean. They will watch your red and white blood cell count closely. You may even go neutropenic- so be careful.

Food will taste terrible and your animals will shy away from you because you smell funny. Anything you find eatable, eat it. After chemo, you'll have an insatiable appetite. Make sure you don't go overboard as it is easy.

Your hair will come back curly and you won't have to worry about manscaping for a while.
