Is it worth buying a used z06 auto if the new 2017s are so close in price?
I was looking mainly at new 2017 2lz z06 autos but a few people told me I can save a lot by going with a lightly used 2015. The 2015 seem to have more of the heating issues and the other transmission. Numbers wise Im not seeing huge savings at all.
This dealer is selling a used 2015 2lz z06 automatic for $67,995 with 4200 miles. I can get a brand new 2017 z06 2lz automatic with PDR for $78,782. With the new one I can get financing also for 1.99 APR for 72 months. Also on the new one I can get a 10 year/100k miles full warranty for only $3000. So whats the advantage of buying the used 2015 because I seem to be getting a new car, less cooling issues, less expensive extended warranty for only $10k more? |

When you get up to those numbers and you're going to finance, monthly payments won't be that much of a difference. Me personally, if you're going to pay that much for a used, I'd opt for the new, full warranties, most bug issues eliminated, etc. Plus you don't know if any hidden abuse by another on used one.
Best of luck on your decision.

Personally, I'd lean towards the new 2017 Z06. You're getting the latest model, less chance of heating issues, and that 10-year warranty deal sounds sweet for only 3k extra. Plus, the financing option is a nice bonus. Sure, the used 2015 has a lower upfront cost, but the potential long-term benefits of the new one seem worth the extra investment to me.
