freaking comcast

Evidently comcrap /xfinity changed the channel lineup again. We went to watch Diamond and Silk on Newsmax and it says I have to subscribe.

I log into my account, check my channel lineup and it's available. I call the village idiots and they say " we'll send a signal and it'll clear it right up".

It's been an hour and the on demand box kept going into a welcome, restart loop. They told me 10 minutes.

I call back, they put some foreign sounding lady ( indian?) on and it sounds like she has marbles in her mouth.

I swapped a "simple" box onto that TV so my wife could watch her shows.

I will call the village idiots tomorrow after I calm down

I hate crapcast, too. My deal 2 year promotion deal/package is expired. I got a letter they are going up $5 per line item on my bill. Stupid things no one understands like, 'regional sports fee'. I don't watch and didn't subscribe to that. I watch VERY little TV. I like Motortrend chan. and the one that runs the Mecum auctions and that's about it. Doubt they let me add those ala cart. But, I will be dropping mine to the VERY basic channel lineup.

Spectrums basic is like 60 or 70 channels and of course they are not in chronological order like 1-70, there is a pay channel on every 10 or so
We have been with them for way over 30 years and they still suck.
But I sure it for the internet connection

Only thing is....FOX NEWS is the only 1/2 was interesting shit on TV......

like it or not, at least it's INTERESTING....and up to date......

BUT, it's an act of GOD to get them anymore....fine on the LR set....with .net it's 135/month.....but on the back room set.....streaming is the only option without paying $$$$ a month more for the privilege of falling asleep to something interesting......

Regional sports fee. And yet, they won't show the local sports teams play, unless you pay extra. ****ers.

With my provider, I'm paying $131/month for internet and TV, as well as a router and 3 TV boxes. The TV package is the mid-level package, and I watch mostly the "cable" channels. I almost never watch the "OTA" (network) channels. I do have Prime, Netflix and a VUDU account. I'm thinking of upping the internet speed and dropping the TV portion. All my TVs are "smart", thus connected via WiFi. Need to figure out what I'd lose by dropping the TV service and going to something like SlingTV.

I'm paying $90/month for directv on 3 tvs including a dvr, and $70/month for 400/40 internet from cablevision/optimum/altice, so $160 all in for tv/internet. When directv finally collapses, i'll be forced to get tv from optimum/altice and the monthly will probably double.

Just converted to Spectrum mobile for $28/2 phones



New joint $50 Internet, $20 for security....... + $28 for mobile. Everything else OTA and chosen Internet streamers. Amazon, $6 Hulu.... will drop Netflix.

The only thing I have with Comcast now is high speed internet. $115.00/month. I ditched everything else. If I want to watch the tube I’ll find something on Netflix or Prime. I’m done paying $200+ every month for channels I never watched.

I got tired of ATT's price increases and bad service. Cut cable and phone but kept internet. We have 2 Samsung smart tv with TV Plus on them. I also bought 2 HD antennas. Get 28 local stations and TV Plus has over 100 stations.

I was paying with taxes and all their BS add on crap $166.00
140 chan - I only watched about 5 of them.
200 Mbps internet

My promotion deal is up that ran for 2 yrs. I'm a free agent!

I had Dish/Sat. many yrs. ago. I loved it, didn't mind the dish on the roof. I don't know how it compares.
