Is there even one reporter that reports the news without any slant left or right? I can't be the only one that wants the pure, unadulterated news in all it's glory both good and bad. Nowadays, everyone has to put a fukking spin on whats going on. But I suppose pure news will never happen since power and money will always bring out the shitbags.

when i lived in the DC area long ago, i'd always wake up the WMAL radio. for years they had an overnight guy who chased police scanner calls. looking for good stories for the morning drive time. he ran around in his little beat up car, all the police guys knew who he was, so they gave him some latitude to get his stories. but....he always had a trunk full of donuts and coffee for the cops. grease the skids. some stories were in rain and snow, and the cops had been working 12+ hours by the time he ran into them.

think ahead.

we've known a storm was coming for a week now. not hard to stock up on non-perishable stuffs back in June when hurricane season began. worst case, you give it away when the season is done.

so instead of people thinking "there's that CNN idiot", they might think "hey, that CNN guy/gal made sure i had a bite and a drink when we met" pretty cheap PR.
