Those are sweet. The police cars are especially cool.

My winter project will be getting the new garage set up and usable and at least wash the vette in there and finally try out the new Porter cable and large assortment of Adams polishes I got last Christmas.

I may try taking off my Ti catback and doing the Ti mod plus powder coat them black but we'll see how things go.

I picked a bottle of Aluminum Brightener up from Napa Auto Parts, #1458. As stated before use gloves. I sprayed on cautiously and scrubbed gently. Mine is very dirty as she has been a Daily Driver for 7 years. It took a bit longer than expected. I'm impressed with the results as I only had 3 hours. It will Require doing again but again very satisfied.

That's a pretty rare hood, not sure I'd go hacking it up.

I couldn't help myself

I am making progress on the winter projects.
The hood is painted and for now I striped it using plasti-dip to see if I like the stripes. I have a local shop that is going to make the stripes in vinyl. I can't take credit for the design. I saw a similar design on a CF member's C6z. Now need to install the screen and hood. Man my job gets in the way of me finishing my projects.

Making progress on the TPEs.

I've also painted and installed the ACI splitter. I don't have any good pics yet. My garage is small so difficult to get good pics. Getting there

That looks really good. I like the stripe design.

You mean the base of the scoop wasn't originally open?
I've only seen one other Mallett 435 hood before, and it was open like that too...I guess I thought they were made open like that and you were doing something else beyond that opening.

Keep us posted, you're gonna have a badass looking car when it's done!

Nice ride !!!
The hood doesn't come with the opening. In my case I did a little more than just the opening. I had cut out the entire triangle area and raise it about 1/2 inch. That location on the hood is lower than stock and was hitting my intercooler pipe. You can see in the pic the material that I removed. I then epoxy glued and fiberglass reinforced the triangle piece back in.
