How far away do you work from your house?

wife works mostly from home, maybe 7k miles/year for her....including personal travel...

gas hits 4 bucks, she going to have to add to her rates, no question.....

Retired union construction pipefitter here. Got to go where the work is in our territory. We have a large territory and I sort of lived in the middle. Most jobs were about 20-25 miles each way but I had one as close as 1mile and another at 100 miles!

I greatly loved that change for me back in '85 or so.....working from the house, keeping my own schedule, and the HUGE pay increase.....
