..........Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow............
We got about 4 inches of the stuff yesterday and more today. I think that's the frustrating thing about snow. You just get it cleared and it starts again. Plus the plows go by and leave a BIG bank at the end of the driveway that YOU have to deal with.

Have a great Monday and be careful out there.

Good morning all and happy Monday I hope yall had a great weekend. It’s been cold here and we finally got snow. Looking forward to playing in the snow in my GR Corolla lol.

Has anyone ever done CBT for insomnia? My girlfriend and I started it a few days ago. It’s been interesting but I have noticed I’m already sleeping better. We go to bed at 12:00am and wake up at 5:45am every day. Once the sleep efficiency improves, hopefully in a couple more days, we can increase the sleep time by 15 minutes. The idea is to retrain your body to fall asleep fast and improve sleep quality.

CBT is either Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Cock n Ball Torture. Both would probably help you sleep.

Haha definitely cognitive behavioral therapy. Cock and ball torture would not help me sleep.

Another possibility wasted day.

Anywho MIL update from the SIL.
MIL beingna whiney pain in the ass over every little thing, it's alot worse since meltdown last rehab stent.
She's not going to a traditional rehab, going to a MS specific rehab which is very good news and nobody knew existed in family at least. Ten days to gain strength back.
They didn't find anything out of the normal wrong, MS may have progressed a tad.
Believe she was having mental issues and dehydrated as she won't drink water as has bladder issues. She needs meds for mental issues but won't take any. She's always needed something as a tad unstable (horrible childhood).
But she believes she'll be a junky or addict if takes anything. She literally won't take a motrin unless force her or Dr says take the damn thing. Then only exactly when and how much he says. Zero leeway...
Ont of the issues is they pander to her bullshit, apparently the nurse in the hospital wasn't having any of it however when she got upset over every little thing.
Like couldn't figure out the tv remote. If she'd thrown against wall and said this thing a piece of shit and got mad... That's normal. Just saying.

Long read skip or get a snack...

So several hours mainly waiting.

Dr wants a specific Pet PSMA scan and no idea why wasn't approved before. Told him the other place are morons and messed all my test requests up.
Showed him the rejection letter from insurance, he babbled this has changed, that's different... Ok you must read different than I do dude. Engrish is Engrish but hopefully it's approved (only reason i went here was to get scan as its local and an opinion).
He seems to think it'll be approved and quickly. We shall see.

CT scanner is used NOT MRI and only 15 to 20 minutes I read so I don't see claustrophobia being an issue at all(and no 10 lb chest plate). Wait an hr for dye to travel then scan so 2 hrs total. So no meds will be given(regardless they should give me something to be safe).
This PET scan has been developed in the last decade specifically to find prostate cancer cells(and only those with a couple exceptions).

He was ok, wouldn't give me any ideas on treatments so I cornered him with some scenarios. Give a dude some idea what's ahead.
"we have to wait for scan"... That's fine however... You're telling me something.

If no spread he said most likely radiation just to prostate and could be 5 days hit hard and go, usually with hormone therapy (no surgery was discussed). If any spread radiation for lymph nodes also and 6 weeks of it, no surgery then as why do both as no advantage (I'm still foggy on why not since oh the bad cells are coming from prostate and can be a major issue later on). I could be wrong.
No hormone only therapy was discussed, urologist said it would be used by itself. Hmmmm.

So he asked me what urologist said is next for me, told him he said he's done unless surgery and I needed to see you. Dr wasn't happy about that statement. I don't sugar coat anything, don't ask if don't want a hard answer.
Also less than pleased when told him zero shits given about other issues nor tests /scans for them.

He kept throwing this term and that term around so made him explain shit to me (he was 1.5 hrs late and i don't care if he's gonna have to stay late either) as I was confused on scan this, blah blah blah.

Things I had issues with... Oh you'll get a consult next door for (insert stuff I don't remember most likely hormone stuff) as he only does radiation. So that means I'll have more cooks in the kitchen. I don't like that especially when one's a fuktard I'll never see again(urologist). Super.
Another issue and most likely a deal breaker is...
The radiation place is NOT run by the hospital, they lease space from hospital. So I'll get facilities charges from hospital in addition to charges from them(based in Charlotte) and nothing bad has ever happened with medical bills /insurance when dealing with mutliple entities. .
I also bet the "place next door" I'll have to see is also NOT part of this place. So a whole different set up bills and facilities charges.
Screams cluster **** or this hand does't know what the other is doing.

Also I'd bet this doctor isn't actually employed by this place and is a sub contractor with hospital. He works several "clinics" that I saw. Also not ideal at all to me. I'm a pessimist alot of times So when they **** shit up who do I go throat punch, I'll get tired of have to do it numerous times.

Good things: place is close, plenty of crackheads always wandering around, "financial advisor" actually explained things very well and said numbers will be provided so if any issues 24/7 I can contact someone (main reason other guy won't touch me again was zero post surgery support available). They have a 100% hands free bathroom and parking is free also close.
He did speak English perfectly as born /raised in West Virginia.

That's my take from today, post scan (if approved) consultation with the obligatory copays.
Then schedule my Duke trip.

I did look up costs for this specific PET scan and are significantly less than MRI and about same as bone scan, proves even more to me the Dr office ****ed the paperwork up and cost me a nice chunk of change and time.

Snack time is over...
