Default I'm not a racist because . . .
I have black squirrels in my yard and I DO NOT shoot them.

No, it's not cuz of the 4 gin & tonics, and now brandy that I'm not seeing straight.



About 35-40 years ago I noticed, about 3-4 miles from here, the occasional black squirrel crossing the road. Seemed really odd, so I investigated and they are just a color variation of the gray squirrel.

So a year or two ago I noticed one in my yard. I see them all the time now, but just managed to snap this pik. Apparently from having bred over the decades, the black variation has spread here from 3-4 miles away from where I first saw them.

This thread was supposed to be about wildlife.

These were taken last spring, a beaver swimming in my creek about 20' from my kitchen window. Haven't seen him since though, and glad he didn't decide to dam up my creek.
