The first few weeks, I fully accepted the "flatten the curve" philosophy. We did that, and it wasn't enough. We did that and protests were allowed to happen.

Everything that took place from the end of January forward, took a political twist and when it became more and more clear AND when considering herd immunity, you soon realize that what is being mandated is the exact OPPOSITE of what should be happening. We need to get sick if that's what it takes. People at high risk for DEATH because of underlying issues, should be shielded from getting sick, not the rest of us.

Why do we not get the same flu year after year?

I saw a story on the news last night about an old married couple who died of COVID within weeks of each other. The wife got it first, the husband went to see her in the hospital, and then he died from COVID himself a couple weeks later. When asked if he thought it was worth it, he said "absolutely worth it."
