Anyone have a chin spoiler or side skirts?
I'm thinking about putting a spoiler and skirts on my C5 but can't decide. I really have only seen the ACI which is cool but wondering what else might be out there. I have a stock front end so it needs to work with that.
Also, if you do run a chin spoiler did it have any effect on your coolant temps? Thanks. |

I have the ACI front spoiler on my Z06. Really like the way it looks. Haven't noticed any difference in the coolant temps. Maybe one day I will get the TS front end along with the spoiler. Like the look. Have been thinking about the side skirts, but need to find out if the skirts cover the holes where the jacking lucks go. Need a way to raise the car.

Munch. I am going to mod a TS chin spoiler to fit my stock Z front end and I will just delete the air dam. We will have to see how it looks and if it changes the temps.

My car has been lowered quite a bit, and I put the ACI on about 4 years ago.
I knew it would be impractical, and considering I can barely fit my foot under it, I fully expected to destroy it in one season. To answer the obvious... Yes I scrape it, yes I've hit road gators with it, yes I've scooped up gravel with it...I do drive the car in the real world. But with all the abuse it has endured, it's actually held up pretty well and it's still on the car today. I never noticed any changes in coolant temp after installing it. The center section of the stock airdam is still in place behind the splitter. :cheers21: |

I have them.. Temps run about the same except for when I put the SL bra on. It cuts the air flow to the engine... May have it modified for better air flow....

I run side skirts and the only time it's really an issue is trying to get the car on an alignment rack.

I love the look of the ACI spoiler, but I know I'd rip it off within the first 10 minutes of it being in the DC metro area... The sideskirts look great too, but I'm still waiting on installing my BPP rockers. I'm not cool enough as Gary to have both

Bad idea... you need to have the center air dam at least. C5s are bottom breathers and w/o that flap it wont force air up into the radiator cavity to cool the car. Now if you delete the air dam and replace it with a new custom duct setup to the TS lip center openings then that could work.

I planned on keeping the center section just eliminating the the dam on the sides.

Thanks everyone for posting up your thoughts and pics but now I need to hear from that one person who has an ACI chin spoiler painted Millenium Yellow but is going with something different and wants to sell it extra super cheap. I know you're out there!
