WHY?? what did the guys use to power their tools?? run long extension cords from the garage or washer outlet??.....I used to do kitchens with the power on all the time, use the outlets as needed, no biggie....

No, I just had to turn off a breaker because we were tapping into a wall outlet to establish another outlet under the sink for the garbage disposal where there was none before. Breakers were not labeled well, so I had to turn off several to find the right one. And I found out in a small old mobile home, the logic of which things are on the same breaker is not the same as a real house.
