Who here uses Keruig ?
I had a Platinum which worked great for 5 years.....took a crap and now they don't make them any longer.....replaced it with a K575 2.0.....much more involved but seems to make a good cup.
We use Kirkland Pacific Bold and 8 O'clock Italian ..... just wondering what anyone here might use.....and yes I know it should be Keurig |

I have a Keurig Platinum B70. It has to be pushing 9 years old. Only had one incident and from searching, I found out you can reset everything by some button combo that I have since forgotten. It is HEAVILY used. It has never had tap water in it and I attribute its long life to that alone. People bitch about the coffee it makes and I just have to laugh. All it does is heat water. If the coffee sucks, it's because it is sucky coffee. Not too much you can screw up taking water from room temp to 180.

I start with fresh roasted beans from the machine in the avatar, then grind and pull a shot from espresso machine or use AeroPress, or any of several pour over devices.
No matter what brewing method, the secret to a great cupa Joe is fresh coffee. |

i make a pot of 8 cups each AM, 1/2 decaf, 1/2 caf, in a boring cuisinart. when done, i fill up my huge mug once, add some sweetener and creamer, and enjoy. Mrs. DAB gets the rest, normally 2 mugs worth.
folgers works fine for me. |

We have a Keurig and use Variety Cup we buy from Costco and Black Rifle Rounds. I usually have a cup while I am making a pot of Black Rifle coffee.

Dunkin' Donuts Dark and Peet's Major Dickason are the best K-Cups I've found for my personal taste.
But even the best K-Cups suck. The nearest gas station's coffee is better. Thinking about buying a real coffee maker. Anyone have any recommendations? |

I gave up on my Keruig and bought a small Mr. Coffee maker that makes 1-3 cups.

I have a Cuisinart K-Cup machine. I found that it is 1) More reliable than the Keurig models (2 died on me) and 2) You have an option for a larger cup (4 sizes as opposed to 3). I use Gevalia K-Cups.
That said, I don't use it much anymore. My normal routine is to stop by the Starbucks on the way to work and get a large iced coffee. |

Keurig Platinum here. Had it for just about 5 years and works fine. We bought a new machine last year as a back up, but haven't had to un-box it yet. Wife drinks Dunkin french vanilla and I like Caribou blend.
