I think that depends on what state you live in. Texas? I'm not worried. If I lived in MA or CA? Maybe call the homeowner's insurance company and alert them that there may be a claim incoming.

Alerting your insurance company would be a good idea in any state. I would be curious if as the homeowner you would have any say on them paying out.
