While she has performed well before, when she hasn't she throws tantrums and blames others. She bailed and took her expected skills with her in the Team event. I hope the coaches are smart enough to see that if she wasn't fit enough to support the Team, she shouldn't be in the Individual events either. Move an Alternate up and get the next generation moving forward.

I have avoided the Olympics this year for the same reasons as all the other years - The Olympics suck and the coverage makes it worse. Personally, I feel the Olympics deserves a perma-cancel. Tell all those amateur (professional) athletes to get a job and produce some good. Danica Patrick can look good and do jack shit too!

Simone is a true superstar, that can never be taken from her. She even has Houston ties, so she's a hometown favorite. She's a ride the firetruck in a parade kind of celebrity here.

Having said that, what this episode brings to light is, while she put in the hard work and has the talent, at this time, anyway, she's lacking.....heart.

For comparison, here's Kerri Strug, her predecessor, pushing through injury and obvious excruciating pain, to bring home the gold for her team, and America:

I watch the Olympics nightly, as I make dinner, waiting
for the SO to come home (long story, some of you may know it)
Regardless, when the going gets tough, the tough get, well, it sucks
getting old.

Must be tough, to be 24 years old, and washed up.
Too bad, but life ain't easy.

I fought my battles earlier in life. I'm at "Fukitol" age,
so I don't give a rats ass about all this un-American BS.
Haven't really seen it during my cooking viewership, other than the gay ass
butt ****er diving dude (has a husband) who has a kid around 8 or so. How did that happen? He's a limey by the way.

It's entertainment.

Well she has exceptional physical skills, that is not in doubt. Some of her mental skills are quite questionable. Her support of BLM and other so called black issues show that she is nothing more than a DAN.

Expect soon after this Olympics nonsense is over she will be shooting her mouth off on the so called black issues. Best bet as a competitor she is done, so with her being well known she will get to be a well known bigmouth.

Exactly. She's already playing the Victim Card full tilt. Moring news wouldn't shut up about "All the pressure this poor young girl is under". YOUNG? She's 24, an old woman for her sport, and a full grown adult otherwise. She'll be cashing the Victim Lottery checks for a long time.

News this morning was all about how brave Biles is. Brave for quitting? Yeah, that really sends the right message to young Americans.

In Biles' defense, the judges were told not to give Biles additional points for difficulty. The new equity Olympics has arrived. Why risk the difficult moves if there is no reward?
