Finally Un jet lagged.

Mom started screaming “My baby, someone one help my daughter!” While flying home yesterday. It was all the way towards the back of the plane. Everyone was looking no one got up.

I shot out of my seat and ran down the plane isle expecting a chocking child. Found a Mid 20’s woman in full grandmal seizure Mother was absolutely losing her mind screaming at the top of her lungs that she wasn’t breathing.

My brain went into ER mode. Was ordering other passengers what I needed done. Told someone to get Mom away and calm her down, male flight attendant and strong looking passenger instructed to get her on the isle floor on her side so I could attend to her.

Girl reeked of alcohol (was a 6 am flight) so either left over from binge previous night or she’s an alcoholic.

After several minutes of seizure activity she was post ictal and completely incoherent. I did the best I could to keep her from harming herself. Mom was no help saying she had only had a drink that am and denied she had "alcohol" issues.

Pilot announced we were going to land “quickly” at. O’hare to get medics to her for everyone to remain seated. They weren’t kidding! Have never seen a plane land and taxi to terminal that fast!

Learned I would never want to run a full code on a plane. Those isles are way to small! Glad I didn’t have to do CPR under those circumstances! I have no idea what they have on planes. I would assume only an AED. Wondering if they even had narcan?

In all the years flying this was my first in flight emergency I had to help with.

Saved her life almost for certain. Well done lady!

Had a similar experience years ago flying to Rome. The couple we were traveling with wife was a PICU nurse. An older lady was celebrating her 70th and was a little beyond tipsy and started to code seize whatever. There was a surgeon on board and he was like I can’t help her. Ms. Pat to the rescue! We were somewhere over the Atlantic and didn’t know if we would have to turn back or keep going. We kept going thank god. The crew gave her a bottle of champagne as we disembarked. That was nice of them.

I'm always ready for the stewardess to ask if anybody can land the plane because both pilots passed out.

Mounted a couple tires on the caddy that finally came in, think they were shipped by donkey over the Rocky Mountains through the Grand Canyon and parts of the Dakotas...

I need to find an old balancer so never have to goto a shop.
