The darker brown that’s in the King Ranch is nice.
You have no issues even if the car sits in summer outside in direct sunlight all afternoon?

Nope. And my truck lives outside.
It’s not a big deal. Start the truck and put the AC and cooled seats on.
No different than winter, turn on the heat and heated seats and sometimes the heated steering wheel.

And uses plenty of fossil fuels to make it comfortable in any climate and at any time in any conditions. Just fire it up, roll some coal, and GO!
None of this 'we need to conserve the battery for more range' shit. "leave the AC off so we can make it all the way to Buc-ees' shit.
NONE of that. Just a fossil fuel, politically incorrect WORK truck for a WORKING man.

Damn right.
Working this morning at the new house and it’s hot and humid and muggy. So I take breaks in the air conditioned truck. Dry out and get back at it.

You'd need an awfully long extension cord to do THAT in a Tesla!

Out of context?

You said that after 72 months, @ 55k miles per year, businesses would save $7842 per truck per year. After 72 months... at 55k miles per year, followed by the 500k mile no maintenance nonsense when I asked you what happens after they're out of warranty.

There was absolutely nothing "out of context" about it. You used it as the argument to try to back up your original claim that businesses would save a lot of money by switching to Cyber"trucks" as fleet vehicles. It was the EXACT context.

Not sure why you don't have any issue with hot seats. Any car I had with black leather, I burnt myself.

it is a statistical fact that they would save that much if they would keep the trucks that long. I didn't say that they will keep it that long but if they did, that would be their savings. What you took out of context was my comment on how long I would keep a 500+ mile range Cybertruck I usually keep cars up to 3 or 4 years but if there was a 500 mile version, I'd keep it for much longer as battery degradation would not be a worry. Until there isn't a 500+ mile range EV, I will keep my vehicles up to the end of the warranty of the expensive components.

Literally? I doubt that.

There’s a common belief that if you live in a warmer climate, you should opt for a lighter interior when buying a car because a lighter interior will help to reflect ultraviolet rays and keep you cooler. But how much hotter are dark interiors vs. light interiors?

“Consumer Reports’ test engineers took two cars, one with a light-colored exterior and light-colored interior, and the other with a dark exterior and dark interior, and parked them both outside,” says Mike Monticello, CR’s road-test manager. “The temperature initially inside both cars was 78° F. Within an hour, they were both over 100° F. The darker car did get a little bit hotter, but only by a few degrees.”

Possibly because he has air conditioned seats? And they're heated, too.

I can precondition my seats and interior temp as well. Has zero to do with type of propulsion.

It's a simple math exercise.

There is no problem. My hot seat was in reference to seat temp if you are not preconditioning.
With white seats, there is no need to do that. White seats never exceed the air temp in the car unlike the black leather seats in my F150 which were a lot hotter than the air in the cabin. There was no way to precondition the truck from afar as I could only turn on the truck when I was in key fob range and that's not enough time to cool down the cabin. There was no app to start the truck from my office so that it would be cooled down by the time I get to it. I had to be in key fob range which is like 30 feet or so. The truck won't be cool in the time it takes to walk 30 feet.
