So the surgeon said that things went well. I guess I will see
Right now they have my right arm totally immobilized. I am also hooked up to a machine that you fill a reservoir with ice and water and it pumps the cold water up through a tube into a pack that is wrapped around my shoulder. i was home by about 9:30 this morning and didn't have to replace the ice until about 3:30 so it's a good six hour icepack

You will love that ice pack. Keep the swelling down and the pain is almost nonexistent

Did he say you could get into the Dewars, you know, purely for medicinal reasons?

How you doing day two? Were you able to get into a position where you could sleep? ( I spent close to 8 weeks sleeping on my reclining sofa after my surgery )

Actually I was able to sleep in my bed
My normal sleep position is on my left side. I was able to just lay on my side as normal with my right arm on top. Even left the ice pack hooked up to the machine
Had a couple of large pillows behind my back to keep me from rolling over

We have a recliner I can use if this doesn't work out

I was told by the surgeon not to sleep in a bed. Good for you ( I ripped a tendon off and it had to be reattached )

I had that ice pack pump on my knee for two weeks straight. No swelling at all which made less discomfort. Whoever designed that had a great idea.
