If I drained our Retirement accounts and other Bank accounts, I have enough to purchase a 2015 Z06.

I wonder how the wife would feel about that?

Do it. The stock market is going to crash anyway and leave your retirement account with enough to buy a used Cobalt anyway. At least with the C7 you can arrive at the FEMA concentration camp in style.
